What is a digital receiver?
A digital receiver converts digital programming to an analog format so that it can be viewed on TV.
Can you install digital receivers on all of our TVs?
Yes, we can install a digital receiver on all of your TVs.
Why is there a red light showing on my digital receiver?
The red light indicates that there is a message for you from Atlantic Broadband. To find out what the message says, press the Menu button on your remote and use the arrow key to highlight Messages and then press OK. Read the message and then choose to keep or delete the message. When you delete the message, the red light will turn off.
Why are the lights not connected on my digital receiver?
Check to see if the digital receiver is plugged into an active electrical outlet and firmly connected to the back of the receiver.
How do I reset the clock on the digital receiver?
To reset the time, unplug the digital receiver for 20 seconds and then plug the receiver back in to update the receiver.
Why do I hear a weather report or news audio on some of my channels?
To turn this off, press the Menu button and turn the second audio program (SAP) off.
How does Atlantic Broadband select programming?
Atlantic Broadband selects programming based on factors such as customer demand, availability of open channels on our system, diversity of programs, cost and ratings.
How can I block out channels I don't want?
Customers can remove channels from their cable guide by using the Parental Control feature. After setting up a control code, you can set a block by rating, channel or title.

Specific instructions vary based on the type of remote control you have.

How do I order or cancel a Digital Pay-Per-View movie?
Specific instructions for ordering Digital Pay-Per-View vary based on the type of remote control you have.
Why doesn't my remote control work?
The remote control may not work because of an obstruction between the remote and the digital receiver. Make sure nothing is obstructing this pathway and check to see if the digital receiver cable box is on (LED light appears when you press any button on the remote). Another possibility is that the batteries in the remote are no longer working and need replacement. Also make sure the remote is set to the Cable/TV mode by pressing the CBL button.
Why don't I have a picture?
If you have a blank screen, your cable signal may not be reaching your home. First check to see if all cables are connected securely and your TV is turned to the cable channel. Then make sure the correct audio and video settings are selected. You should also check to see if you have a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse and check all power switches and electrical cords and plugs.
Why is my picture snowy?
If your picture is snowy, check all of your connections to make sure they are tight and properly connected. Also check to see if your TV is turned to the cable channel (3 or 4) and if the TV is in the CATV (Cable TV) mode by going to the main menu and checking. Construction in the area may also affect the cable lines if a line has been cut.
Why don't I have any sound?

Check to see if the sound problems are affecting all of your TVs. If there is no sound in just one, the problem may be the TV set itself. If there is no sound in all of your sets, then contact our Customer Care Center.

Why am I not receiving this program in stereo?
Check your audio menu and make sure it is set to Stereo. Also, the program itself may not be delivered in stereo.
Why do I only have sound from one stereo speaker?
Check to see if your cable connections are loose and reconnect all lines properly. Make sure no lines are broken.
How do I enable/disable my second audio program (SAP) to receive/not receive channels in Spanish?
The SAP is located on your TV. You should consult your television user guide to find out if your TV has this feature. If it does, it can be easily turned on or off on the TV itself.
